Though so much has been written about this deal I was totally unaware; simply because it was too complicated an issue. Then one day some body asked about it.I read few blogs, asked few friends and thought about viewpoints of leading players.
BJP is opposing but BJP's political stand is understandable.
It has ample bitter experience with Congress-- lost the trust vote due its scheming. True there is risk, but no-deal is risk free. I analyzed my way and developed an opinion. I thought overall it can be beneficial for the country. May be there is a slight advantage.
But the recent developments of both the parties put me back to square one; A mute opinionless. confused citizen. They are bringing the criminals out of jail, granting cabinet post for price of voting !
I admired Indira Gandhi but was never not pro-congress. In fact I thought it is a great shame for the congress leaders to find no alternative for a lady of little political experience and greater family influence as the ultimate leader of India. But CPM has shown their opportunist ugly face too.Now both the parties are digging dirt; Some to save it, some to scuttle it.
So, who should be supported at this moment? I am confused. what is your take?

Correction:
So, it is too slow, too dirty, too expensive, too risky for jihadi attack too. Russia had Chernobyl disaster, USA had 3-mile island accident, Japan had an accident very recently - though minor.

Fukushima reactor shuts down after detecting radioactivity
Monday, February 19, 2007 at 07:28 EST
FUKUSHIMA — A nuclear reactor in Fukushima Prefecture automatically shut down Sunday morning after detecting excessive radioactivity, but there was no impact on the surrounding environment, its operator Tokyo Electric Power Co said.
The halt came while Tokyo Electric was starting up the No. 4 reactor of the company's Fukushima No. 2 nuclear power station in the town of Tomioka, located 210 kilometers from Tokyo, after completing a regular inspection. The utility suspects there was a glitch in the reactor's alarm system as its radioactivity monitoring devices in and outside the facility detected no abnormalities, but it is investigating the cause of the incident

Latest leak sparks call to close down nuclear plant
Chicago Sun-Times, Apr 11, 2006 by Cindy Wojdyla Cain

Will County Board Chairman Jim Moustis said Monday that Exelon should shut down its Braidwood Generating Station if it can't operate the power plant safely.
Moustis was reacting to reports that more radioactive tritium escaped from the far southwest suburban nuclear power station on Thursday, this time in the form of a steam cloud.

We are technically more backward and morally more irresponsible...too casual and too careless and too reckless...etc. etc. as nuke nergy is too time-consuming, too risky, too dirty, and too expensive...etc

"The West has been anti-India all along! Even Kennedy was pro-pakistan though every Indian household and shop had a Kennedy picture on the wall, ironically! Kissinger took pakki help to reach the chinks. Most money for afghan contracts and money from mafia racket of jihadi antics amounting to more than 10 bil dollars have gone into pakki coffers from USA.
It'd be a good idea to launch a boycott of all american and islamic goods and services to show your outrage. Rosa Parks got civil rights legislation for the Blacks done thru boycott more potently than M.L. King could; the chinks boycotted french firms last month, the arabs did that to danish at the cartoon affair...etc. etc.
Boycott is a powerful non-violent tool in the arsenal of any citizenry! Spread this msg to all in India and abroad!! In this economic turmoil of the West, the impact will be ugly; the xian crooks and savage islamists will feel the pinch right away!!!"

There you are! If you reach a few dozen people on boycott, then we will be ok!

Thanks for the note. Tried to reply but notes was not working.
May be it is my weakness But reading such blogs makes me feel depressed. Not that they are untrue but it is like seeing a situation over which I have no control
What you said I try to practice. Like not seeing movies at least in halls or cricket because they backed by black money.
It came to naturally.
See what is happening now at parliament
our secularist leaders had raised the hooligans for their personal gain. I think we should
boycott them first rather than the people they use.
I believe in tackling the enemy within rather than the enemy out.
Our greed for power and money is a bigger enemy than all the jihadis included.
Initially I used to worry. But no more.
History always goes a full circle. The pseudo intellectual of our vote bank politics has started to get their overdue payment. Nandigram is a case.
So one day they will realize.
If they don’t we all have to pay.
Kashmiri Muslims, who kick India at the slightest opportunity will also get their lesson once they are under the control of their Pakistan brethren. East Pakistan realized once. The more we try to convince them more they suspect us now. But being in India, women have tasted a bit of liberation. Until they are put back into chain they wont value the freedom. It is rule of history. One has to learn his or her lesson

Bijaya-ji, The West is imposing the techology it itself is rejecting. USA officially will have fewer nuke energy reactors in the years to come, as the waste is too dangerous to handle.
For us, it is also very expensive, since they charge too much for anything and always cheat us like ENRON, AMWAY, INSURANCE COMPANIES, COLAs, and we are too trusting for the crooks to dupe us into any obscene deal.
Lastly, it will take more than a decade to start producing energy. Sop, it is too slow, too dirty, too expensive, too risky for jihadi attack too. Russia had Chernobyl disaster, USA had 30-mile island accident, Japan had an accident very recently. ...etc etc. We must be frugal with energy and take buses. trains more often and use SOLAR, WIND, TIDAL WAVE energy solutions...

Maddss has answered my questions and I pasted them in the blog. Those are short, to the point arguments from a positive view point.
Saurav Basu has written from negative view point . informative but a bit lengthy.
Thanks for your response.

Dear Bijaya Please read my write-uo exactly on the same line about where is he nation stand today on the deal... It will echo where you and me are on this:

Infact I am still doubtfful about the "'benefits with NO serious drawbacks" logic by many 'experts'. I don't think that HYDe is merely a internal law of USA COngress... In US democracy it just doesn't work that way. If Congress blocks a bill, it can't go to President and if Congress blocks a shipment of goods under a law, President can't revoke it. On the contrary if a bill is sent to USA for signature, he can veto it!
On the horsetrading in trust vote now, I tend to get feeling that it is going to get dirtier, murderer Shibu will be minister, Ajit Singh in UP will get his pound of flesh, Dewe Gowda we all know shamelessly would get some suitcases.... And yet govt. may fall purely on 'religous' Muslim MPs ground!
